What a hectic month this has been for us! We thank you for all your prayers, financial support and your hospitality while we were in the U.S. We arrived in Arequipa without any trouble. We breezed through customs without a problem and arrived tired but happy to be home.
We hit the ground running because we are hosting two teams in September. Actually the “Threads of Hope” team from Canada arrives at the end of this month. Then we have a team from Faith Fellowship Church in Micaville, NC. We are anticipating great things with these teams.
As you may already be aware, my youngest brother, Addison was diagnosed with cancer of the kidney. Since our return, we have found out that he also has cancer in his ribs. We have asked everyone to be praying for him and we are expecting a great miracle from our loving Father. Our granddaughter, Rebecca has suffered from an asthma attack this past week so she also needs your prayers. We went to the orphanage last week and all the children wanted to pray for us and my brother. They prayed for over thirty minutes, asking God for a miracle. Those children know how to pray and I am sure they touched the heart of God with their sincere prayers.
We have located a building for the Bible College. It is an ideal location and we are praying that it will come through. They are asking more than we budgeted to pay, but it is a good deal, nonetheless, because rent can be very high here, especially in such a prime location. It has sufficient space for everything we need. Please pray the next couple of days for favor, because we should know something for sure this week. We hope to open by the middle of October.

We went up to one of the more remote pueblos for a children’s church service last Saturday. It was such a joy seeing these children as they listened to the Word of God. After singing, praying, telling a Bible story, and feeding them, we left with the promise of returning. We’re looking forward to some teams visiting this pueblo.
Don’t forget to be praying for Peru. There are so many here who do not know Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
Please pray that we will win many souls during these trying times.
In His service,

Lew and Mariesa Davis
