Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for your help this month. It is thanks to you all that we are able to continue to serve the Lord here in Arequipa.
Lew has been extremely busy translating material to be used in the Bible College this year. The Centro de Entrenamiento Biblico reopens on February 22nd, after the summer break. Yes, it is summer here, and people are returning from vacations and preparing to reenter school life.
In this picture, Lew is addressing the Pastors of Arequipa. This ministry is one we share with Wagler Ministries here in Arequipa. Once a month the pastors from many different denominations come together to have a time of worship, to pray for one another, for their churches, their ministries, the lost people of Peru, and for revival. We share the Word with them and encourage them in their walk with the Lord and in their ministries.
This month, also, Medical Ministry Inter-national (MMI) with whom we are now partnering to bring medical teams to various locations throughout Peru, had a two day training session here at the mission house. The part of this ministry in which we are involved is for the healing of the entire person and is one in which we are able to share the love of Jesus and present the gospel. We are excited about this new endeavor and are thrilled to have another venue in which we can bring more people to know our Lord, as well as instruct them in basic methods of preventing disease and training in good nutrition and healthy living. Mariesa will be traveling with the group into areas with little access to healthcare. We will also be mentoring and counseling the staff and volunteers.
Once again we would like to thank you for your part in reaching the people of Peru with the gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as maturing the saints and comforting and encouraging those who give of their lives here to further His kingdom.
