Please find our December thank you letter attached. We are so grateful to all of you for your prayers, love and support. We hope you enjoy reading about our wonderful adventure with the kids from the smaller orphanage with which we work. God bless you all and happy New Year. We have been having a lot of trouble with our internet server, so if you received this more than once, please forgive us and just delete the second one.
In His great love,
Lew and Mariesa
Dear Friends,

As you see, this letter is a bit later than normal. This has been a very trying and hectic, as well as rewarding month. Most of you know that we were in the U.S. for about a month. Lew’s younger brother, Addison went to be with our Lord just days before Thanksgiving. Although we have grieved and will miss him terribly, we have the assurance that we will be with him again in heaven. Thank you for all your many prayers as we went through this difficult time. God has supplied grace abundantly.
Though we didn’t get to visit all our grandchildren, we were able to see our three girls while we were in the U.S. It was a busy time in the U.S. and we did not have our vehicle so please forgive us for not visiting everyone. We returned to Peru on December 11th. We hit the road running. There were so many problems to fix and things that needed to be done right away. The Bible College is in it’s summer break now and will start up again on February 22nd . The last class had 11 students and we expect a lot more for the next semester. We’ll use this time to paint and do a few repairs on the building.
On December 20th we took Gloria and José on a Christmas shopping trip. We bought Christmas gifts for them and every child in their orphanage. That was our gift to each other this year. On Christmas Eve all 21 of the children at the orphanage along with Gloria and José will join us at our home to celebrate Christmas. At midnight we’ll watch a fantastic fireworks display from our three-story roof. The display will last about 45 minutes. Then we’ll go inside for a traditional Christmas dinner (If we can stay awake that long!)Last Saturday Lew baptized 17 people from the feeding center which we support in Peruarbo. What an honor it was to participate in this event. They had to travel by bus for about an hour to a hot spring called Quiscos where there was enough water to baptize. He also led one man to the Lord that same day.

Lew bought a turkey and the orphanage raised him for the Christmas dinner. All the children will spend the night with us and the next morning we’ll cook pancakes and bacon for everyone. Of course, we’ll open presents and have a birthday cake (strawberry – Lew’s favorite) for Jesus. On December 23rd, we celebrated our 38th anniversary by staying home and relaxing. We planned on going out but simply decided to just relax at home.
Lew is scheduled to preach for the next 3 months as well as talk in the monthly Pastor’s meeting. God is really opening doors, so please pray that we’ll use wisdom in deciding which ones to walk through. We also ask you to pray especially that God would move on the hearts of someone to come here for an extended period of time to help us. We could really use the help now.
We are praying for all of you. Throughout this year you have all been so faithful in your prayers and in your giving. You make it possible for us to share God’s love and the gospel message. People you’ve never met will thank you some day in heaven. Thanks again for your donation this month. May God bless you abundantly for giving into missions. If you are interesting in giving toward a special project for the end of the year, please contact us at mvimi2@yahoo.com and we’ll send you a list and description of some wonderful projects.
May you have wonderful Jesus filled Christmas this year.
We pray that God will bless you and reveal himself to you in a new way this year and may the coming new year be a year of blessing as you follow our Lord and Savior.
Merry Christmas!
Lew and Mariesa
